Welcome to my homepage. Currently it is a work in progress, but I hope it will be useful to current and prospective students.  For those who would like to know some thing about me I offer the following:

I received a B.S. in Chemistry and worked for five years as a research chemist. I then returned to school and obtained a M.S. in Accounting. I worked in public accounting for Ernst & Young for several years, receiving my CPA from New York.

After my first child was born, I left public accounting. Since then have taught Accounting, first at University at Albany, SUNY and for the last ten years at Siena. In May of 2001 I graduated from a Ph.D. program in Information Science at the University at Albany. My dissertation looks at the automatic classification of accounting concepts and is titled: Classification of Financial Accounting Concepts Through the use of Latent Semantic Indexing and Clustering Techniques. A list of my research is located here.
