Laptop Purchase Program FAQs
Why so expensive?
ITS goal is to have Dell offer a computer that won't become obsolete in four years. This recommended configuration will ensure a maximum of computing power with a minimum of problems. For instance, this model has twice the memory, bigger hard drive, and a faster processor than cheaper laptops.
In addition, four years of complete, on-site service — including repair of accidental damage — is provided by Dell. If there's a problem, it's covered.
See the specifications on the Dell website for a full list of features.

Note that the computers listed do not include Office; you will need to purchase Office 2008 or some other program at some point. Also, the price does not include an extended waranty, though it can be purchased.
