Alfredo Medina, Jr. is chiefly responsible for coordinating and facilitating all aspects of public and private sponsored research and maintaining continuous interaction with federal, state and local government officials in advancing the governmental affairs of the College.  As the chief government relations officer, he participates in higher education policy discussions at the federal, state, and local levels, works directly with the President and senior administration to address state and federal policies that pertain to the institution; generates state and federal support for the College; and coordinates all private foundation matters in advancing the academic priorities of the College.  Alfredo possesses a baccalaureate degree in Psychology from Syracuse University (Utica College), an M.S. in Educational Psychology and Statistics from the University at Albany, SUNY and completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University.

Sharon Finnerty is responsible for stimulating grant activity, identifying funding sources, and assisting in the development of public and private grant proposals that support faculty research and institution-wide initiatives.  She also works with the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs to implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with state and federal grant requirements.  She holds a B.S. in Communication and M.S. in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Cynthia Zinzow monitors funded grant activities in the School of Science.  She is responsible for grant-related tasks that include processing grant requests (i.e., travel expenses, equipment purchases, research student supervision) and assisting in compliance matters on public and private grants for Principal Investigators/Project Directors.
