In her role as a paralegal, Cheryl will incorporate her Spanish language skills to communicate with the firm’s Spanish-speaking clientele. During her time at Siena, Cheryl felt fortunate to practice her Spanish not only in the classroom, but also in a widely-published bilingual magazine, Latino New York. During her interview at PTZSW&R, she had a copy of her article with her and was excited to use a piece of published work as her writing sample. She was offered the job that day as a bilingual paralegal.
Cheryl writes: "I'm especially appreciative of the opportunity you (Professor Marcela Garces) granted our class [Spanish 370] in the Fall 2011 semester so that our work could be published in Latino NY magazine - I showed off my article at the interview and the gentleman was very impressed."
