National Collegiate Research Conference
PRESENT YOUR RESEARCH
NCRC will culminate in a competition featuring diverse poster presentations given by participants. Poster competitions will take place on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 in the atrium of Northwest Labs. Harvard affiliated faculty will judge posters on several criteria, including:
POSTER SUBMISSION INFORMATION
By submitting an abstract when you apply to NCRC 2014, you will automatically be entered to present a poster.
Please send your poster (in PDF format) to firstname.lastname@example.org before January 7, 2014. Please note that your PDF file must be of appropriate resolution of 42″x38″.
Our advisors at Harvard have graciously offered large-format printing for all NCRC participants who would like to present a poster. Your poster will be available for pickup at registration on the first day of NCRC. The pickup location and procedure will be updated as we near the conference date.
Poster and plenary presentations will be judged during the conference, and monetary prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of NCRC. Multiple prizes will be awarded with first place prizes valued at $500.
The prizes will be awarded as such:
Grand Prize – Awarded to the project that demonstrates exceptional quality of research, experimental design, thoroughness, originality, and applicability. The presenter is able to engage a diversity of audiences and communicates the nuances of his/her research exceptionally well.
Award of Excellence – Awarded to projects that demonstrate exemplary quality of research, experimental design, thoroughness, originality, and applicability. The presenter successfully communicates his/her research to a diversity of audiences.
Honorable Mention – Awarded to projects that demonstrate noteworthy quality of research, experimental design, thoroughness, originality, and applicability. The presenter effectively conveys the critical aspects of his/her research to the audience.
People’s Choice – Awarded to inspiring projects that receive the greatest number of votes from fellow participants.
