The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research is a conservative think tank founded in 1943 and based in Washington D.C. Accourding to their web site, AEI is "a community of scholars and supporters committed to expanding liberty, increasing individual opportunity, and strengthening free enterprise. AEI is a private, nonpartisan, not-for-profit institution dedicated to research and education on issues of government, politics, economics, and social welfare." The web site contains articles, videos and blogs on a wide variety of political and economic issues.
The Brookings Institution:
The Brookings Institution is one of the oldest and most influential think tanks. Based in Washington D.C., this nonpartisan think tank conducts research in order to fulfill three goals, "to strengthen American democracy, foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunity of all Americans and secure a more open, safe, prosperous and cooperative international system." This web site consists of articles, videos, live web chats, and other information on the economy, U.S. government, and the world.

The Cato Institute is a public policy research organization. This organization is a non-partisan libertarian think tank dedicated to "the principles of individual liberty, limited government, free markets and peace." This site includes journals and publications, blogs, events, and videos.
The Center for American Progress:
The Center for American Progress is a progressive think tank based in Washington D.C. This organization, "develops new policy ideas, critiques the policy that stems from conservative values, and challenge the media to cover the issues that truly matter and shape the national debate." This site contains news articles, publications, reports, and videos.
The Heritage Foundation:
The Heritage Foundation is a conservative think tank based in Washington D.C. This foundation promotes, "public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense." This web site includes reports, articles about current research, blogs, events, and videos.
The Hoover Institution:
The Hoover Institution is a think tank associated with Stanford University. The Institution values the "principles of individual, economic, and political freedom; private enterprise; and representative government." This site includes news articles, videos, publications, a library and archives, video, audio, and blogs.
