Tuition Transition Day 2014

Here at Siena, we are all about receiving “The Education of a Lifetime”—one that takes knowledge acquired in the classroom and uses it to sustain a community and to live like Francis did.

To help you do that, generous alumni, parents, and friends donate to the Annual Fund each year. The Annual Fund assists those areas that have the greatest need on campus, such as renovations, maintenance, and scholarship support. Without this support, students might not have light bulbs to see, professors to teach, or tuition would simply run out and Siena would close its doors in the beginning of April.

Tuition Transition Day Video Contest Rules and Regulations

day, we are asking students to create a video to say “thank you” to our donors.

In 30 seconds or less, we would like for YOU to submit a video that does two things:

  1. Demonstrates how Siena is helping you to receive “The Education of a Lifetime”

  2. Says THANK YOU to our donors for providing these opportunities

How do gifts keep the total cost of education lower?
Gifts help close the gap between what tuition pays for and what a Siena education actually costs. Without donor support,  tuition would have to increase to cover the total cost of a Siena education.

Where does money donated to the Annual Fund go?
Contributions made to the Annual Fund are utilized immediately where the money is most needed. They are the most direct way to make a positive impact on the campus as a whole, including financial aid for students.

How do gifts to Siena affect me?
From building renovations to providing cutting-edge technology in the Hickey Financial Technology Center and science labs to having the lights on in your office or residence hall room, gifts to the Annual Fund help keep Siena running. Siena’s donors support everybody on campus, including students, faculty and staff.

Will my gift make a difference?
Yes! It’s not just the big gifts that make an impact. A gift of any size directly benefits the entire college, and is a statement of confidence in our community, something corporations and foundations look at when considering supporting Siena.

May I give a gift online?
Certainly! Go to and select “Make a Gift” for our online giving form. We hope that current students will one day choose to stay connected and support Siena. After all, once you are a part of Siena, you are a Saint for life!
