The Siena Marketing Experience 2011

The Siena Marketing Experience was held on Tuesday September 20 in The Maloney Great Room between 8:30am and 5:30 pm and allowed students the unique opportunity to observe various marketing classes instructed by faculty and presentations conducted by students.  The Theme of the Event was "Learn - Apply - Succeed" and provided a forum for students and marketing faculty to interactive and discuss the marketing curriculum at Siena.

The Siena American Marketing Association student club assisted faculty in producing poster boards containing information regarding each marketing course and students were able to gather information about learning goals, career opportunities and the significant value of each course in the marketing curriculum.  Students wer also able to understand how th emarketing curriculum reinforces the mission of Siena College and the School of Business by offering intellectually challenging courses that we are deeply committed to Franciscan values.  Ethical norms and values of Marketers were highlighted throughout the day. 

The Apple iPad was elected as a product to demonstrate various marketing concepts.  Two Sales Directors from Apple were in attendance and spoke to studetns about effective marketing strategies implemented at Apple.  The esimated atendance was over 300 and feedback has been extremely positive.  The Marketing Department is grateful to the number of individuals that assisted in making The Siena Marketing Experience a successful event.
